The above device is part of Ciat-Lombarde's TOCANTE series, placing it firmly in the area of sound manipulation/modulation through the act of "frottage" or rubbing. The above "Bass Bistab" has a squarewave core for improved bass frequencies and a lovely copper design/syntax to enchant the eye and help disturb the ear. It's an essential instrument for those folks whose dependence on pitch is nearly non-existent or nil. It has both an internal speaker and solar battery for those who need to bring the noise, and an output jack if one feels the need to be heard at more dramatic levels!
