My latest paintings present a kind of balance of the painterly and the drawn, ultimately forming a chaotic network meaningless "marks". The smudges, sandings, erasures, and ghosts of gestures could possibly be admissions of both a wordless desire and disdain. How could one possibly make art without dichotomies?
