Landscape’s STEREO FIELD is the latest addition to my smeared map of high expectation random adventures in sound, stressing a need for immediacy (no programming or pitch considerations), and a fingered swipe at invisibilities. Don’t think the steam-punk/noise sensibility of Folktek instruments whose visual qualities far surpassed their use or reliability as “instruments”. The STEREO FIELD is a well- built, well-designed collection of inputs, outputs and touch plates that allows deliverance from chromatic keyboard wanking and sets one on the path to sonic miasmas and discovery. Fun!
